Climbing Route

Via Ferrata Carlo Giorda:

After passing the village of Sant’Ambrogio Torinese going towards the Val di Susa and Chiusa di San Michele ( highway 25 ) near the road that runs from the base of the North wall of the Sacra the beginning of the “ Via Ferrata “ is easily located in Croce di Bell’Alda, where there is also a car park.
The “Via Ferrata” ends near the North wall of the Sacra. From this point you can continue on the right along a path that , with some ups and downs, reach the paved road a few meters from the tomb of the Monks.

Ascent: 600 meters
Journey time: 4 hours
medium (equipment recomended )
Best period:
from April to October (exposure to the North makes it inadvisable during winter).
Descend: ryou can return to the valley with the Sant’Ambrogio, or with Chiusa di San Michele, mule-trak.
